A Bad Start but a Happy Ending....

Poor Dilly
I am sorry to shock you with this picture of poor Daffodil when she was first found tied up outside a shop. I don't want to spoil your evening but this is a stark reminder of just how badly treated some dogs are. Dilly's eyes have been affected by the neglect and she is suffering from skin problems as well. Mercifully she was found by a lady who just happened to be a foster carer for West Yorkshire Dog Rescue. Lucinda fostered the bewildered little girl and her recovery could begin. Although Daffodil is now almost fully recovered and enjoying her new life to the full there are many others like her who still need help. Why not contact West Yorkshire Dog Rescue and see how you could make a difference?
Anyway here's Daffodil to say her piece:
"Hi everybody. I looked a bit of a state didn't I? I want to say a big, big heartfelt thank you to Lucinda for taking me into her home and her heart and starting me on the long road to recovery. Part of the process was a visit to the hair salon...hair salon -they scalped me! They said it was for my own good and here's a picture of me after the visit to the sheep shearer...
I only asked for a trim...

Of course unlike you strange creatures I don't think about the past too much and am concentrating on enjoying the present. Since I last wrote to you I've had lots more exciting experiences. For instance I was a guest of honour at a stately home - Burton Agnes to be precise. It was very grand sitting in  the courtyard cafe surrounded by adoring humans! My two new humans are 'artists'. One of them is muttering about an exhibition and spends time sitting behind a huge board with lots of brushes in his hands. I haven't a clue  what is going on but my man human did get told off for splashing paint all over me. It was a nice shade of yellow but as it is only watercolour it soon washed off.  It hasn't taken me long to get my humans sorted out. For example if I want some attention...easy:
I'm here!

That's all it takes to get me up on a knee for a cuddle and here's the new sleeping arrangement I've wangled for myself in their bedroom:
Well Sorted

So please don't worry about me anymore. I am happy and looking forward to telling you all about my new adventures as time rolls on. Anyway it's time for my walkies now so I'd better get them ready. Bye for now."
